And so it goes….

Sales on the book have kind of stalled, so I’m moving forward to focus more on my next project/novel (if you are reading this and haven’t bought a copy, what exactly are you waiting on?).  If I can stay away from my Xbox long enough that is.  In any case, it seems I can’t go a day without writing a poem, so here are some of the latest entries I have to offer.  Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog, the more subscriptions I see the more I will get on here and share what goes on in this mind of mine.  Comments are also welcome!!!

Means to End

Bringing to light how we feel
From the dark pits
Of our souls

Can cause problems to arise
Unsolvable
Within our roles

Boundaries have kept us sane
Made us obey
Unspoken rules

But what happens when lines blur
Make us react
Both like fools

Living life without a care
Making choices
With no regard

Other concerns go ignored
Cast to the side
Total discard

To see you move on from us
Both to prevent
And to ensure

I understand your choices
But I admit
The want, grows more.

The concern of those around
Made you reflect
And reassess

Whether what we share is right
Last thing I want
Is your distress.

So if what we have must go
Just to maintain
What you hold dear.

Look inside to see the truth
Don’t be afraid
Of what’s in there.

Inside and Out

I Love You are those words
Easier said
Than trying to mean.

Three words carrying weight
Unbridled strength
Both far and between.

Many look to others
Expecting them
To fill up a void.

Never using those words
Upon themselves
Instead they avoid.

Life will not give you more
Moments of bliss
Than what you allow.

The heights of love received
Limited by
The love you endow.

True love starts with yourself
Nothing means more
Than making that real.

How else will you spot love
When it’s given
So far from ideal.

Chances are part of life
Rightfully so
In all choices made.

Don’t chance that love will come
Ignoring it
Will cause it to fade.

Feeling Loss

Took for granted, times we had
Thought our days would go on.

Never thought we’d see the end,
Still felt we were at the dawn.

But now the day has appeared.
You’re truly, no longer here.

No more sounds of your young voice.
No more pleads to comb your hair.

Why were you taken away?
While monsters are free to live.

So much promise lied in you.
So much more you had to give.

Now my life has to move on.
With memories, in my mind.

No new stories can be made.
We can’t share the daily grind.

Feeling lost without your stare.
Or the words you’d offer me.

Through this pain I’m at a loss.
No idea how else to be.

Only wish I had the chance
One more time, for me to say.

All the words I never spoke,
Hope you knew them anyway.

Latest Poetry

Took a break from the blog to get a few things in order.  Book selling is not what I thought it would be.  Word of mouth, social network spamming etc. has its limits but none the less, I’m not deterred in my efforts to have my work in the hands of every able minded person on this planet.  Yea, that’s my goal, too much?  Anyway, as I work on my next project, I still occasionally write a poem or two.  Felt I’d share them…… Hope you enjoy.  Comments are WELCOMED!!!

Oh and, subscribe to the blog. It won’t hurt, I promise……

Goodbye

Not all things that start off fun,
Can end in the same light.

But what we had always will
Seem to me, to be right.

No worries plagued our time.
Just enjoyed moments spent.

Helped us both get through a time.
That’s all those moments meant.

Yes we shared a bit of self,
Not opened to the rest.

But I wasn’t top concern.
The reasons, you knew best.

Should’ve known this was the way,
All those laughs found an end.

Should’ve known that what we had,
Would take away my friend.

Still the best is yet to come,
Many joys yet to feel.

Wishing the best seems cliché,
The feelings there are real.

My footprints are at your side.
Some bonds will stay intact.

This goodbye is just for now,
With hopes it won’t detract,

From the growth we both will need,
To make it anywhere.

Heed my words, see my actions,
As a sign, that I care.

Clear Skies

She walks into my life,
Daily flashing me a smile.

With morning tides abound.
Shifting my mood from hostile.

Taking all my worries,
That have built up through the past.

She washes them away.
Removes the doubts they have cast.

Reassuring thoughts shared.
Her clear glow quelling concern.

And when her presence fades,
Steady wait for her return.

Gotten spoiled by her care,
Always looking out for me.

Giving out what I need,
Like the sun does for a tree.

A morning without her,
Can’t imagine such a time.

Moments without her warmth.
The coldest, natural crime.

The sun, I love her so.
More clear mornings I do need.

With her there by my side,
Most assured, I will succeed.
