I am sorry for the ways – in which I hurt you in the past.
Never once did I intend – for those actions to leave a cast.
Over you, clouding the way – in which you look onto your life.
Which I knew was only swirled – amongst pain and lasting strife.
With no care I took your love – and played a game you’d never win.
Now I’m here full of regret – not knowing where I should begin.
Another’s heart is no toy – it was caution I didn’t use.
Now I’m shattered at the fact – that I’ve made you feel so abused.
They say that time heals most wounds – all except those made on the heart.
That pain will always linger – causing some to just fall apart.
My actions showed me how cruel – one can act out towards another.
How with selfish disregard – I threw your feelings asunder.
I guess this guilt I now feel – is repayment for my choices.
And no amount of words can – undo those acts which it voices.
So here I am, begging you – please forgive me for all I’ve done.
I want to right all my wrongs – my time for sorrow has begun.
